Charla impartida por Nicola Nicolson del Royal Botanic Gardens (Kew), en la que se tratan los siguientes puntos: definición de PID; objetos que pueden tener identificadores asignados, citación de identificadores, qué nos permiten hacer los identificadores persistentes; el reto de la persistencia real; consecuencias sociales de entrar en el mundo de los identificadores persistentes. Se presentan ejemplos reales de sistemas robustos que utilizan identificadores persistentes.  

Abstract:

During the workshop, Nicola Nicolson, from the Royal Botanic Gardens (Kew), presents the following points: Definition of PID. Which objects can have an identifier assigned. Citation of Identifiers. What do the persistent identifiers allow us to do. The challenge of real persistence. Social contract implications of entering the persistent identifiers world. Examples of robust systems using persistent identifiers.
